Alexandria Stately Addition with Inviting Screen Porch
Our client’s goals for this handsome Alexandria home were four-fold: (1) renovate the kitchen and open it to living and dining rooms (2) enlarge the master bedroom and add a closet (3) add a one-car garage and (4) build a screen porch.
The renovated, elegant kitchen boasts skylights, white Carrara marble counters,Thermador appliances, and CWP cabinets.
Braswell Design+Build removed a wall and installed a support beam to open the kitchen to the living room. The resulting enlarged kitchen footprint allowed ample space for a wide island with seating.
During the design+build process, we worked with the homeowner to design a sunroom with vaulted ceilings and a gas fireplace above the new garage. We also converted a third upstairs bedroom into a large walk-in closet and additional space for the master bedroom (not pictured).
This perfectly sized screen porch, roughly 16′ x 24′, with a side grill deck, is the ideal place for summer naps and get togethers. Are you thinking about an ice cold glass of lemonade?
